The urban wilderness is an area where the waste of society meets the outposts of the 'natural' world. This project moves from Gilles Clément's 'third landscape' theory to investigate and re-evaluate abandonment. The urban wilderness is an anarchic territory forgotten by the authorities, where new forms of coexistence and interaction between man and nature find space. Here biodiversity is a resource, here the homeless find a home.
This work aims to re-evaluate abandonment, reinterpreting it as a potentially salvific place for our cities.
This is an ongoing project made with the precious collaboration of Mirko Brusafero
